174. Whoever commits the offence of undue influence or personation at an election shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year or with fine, or with both.

Section 174 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 deals with punishment for undue influence or personation at an election. It replaces IPC 171F of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. Under the BNSS First Schedule, BNS 174 is non-cognizable and bailable.
