Does it have to come from a lawyer?
No. You can send it yourself. A notice on a lawyer's letterhead is common, but not required.
How should I send it?
By registered post or speed post, and keep the receipt and the tracking. You can also send a copy by email or WhatsApp.
How long do I have to file a recovery suit?
Generally three years under the Limitation Act, counted from a date that depends on the kind of loan. A written acknowledgement of the debt can restart the time.
